NS Community Forum October 5, 2022

Take part in a community forum with international experts Eddie Bartnik and Tim Stainton. The forum is your opportunity to contribute to meaningful change in how people with disabilities are supported to live and thrive in their communities.

When: October 5, 2022; 6:30 – 8pm

Where: Canada Games Centre, 26 Thomas Raddall Dr, Halifax, NS, B3S 0E2

We are reaching out to invite you to meet with Eddie Bartnik and his team to help come up with a workable solution to the long-running human rights case about the rights of persons with disabilities to community based, residential supports and services.

A human rights remedy to end the systemic discrimination of people with disabilities in Nova Scotia is needed. It will address how people with disabilities access social assistance and supports and services to live in the community. This process will bring about change in Nova Scotia. People with disabilities and families need to be heard and understood to ensure that the systemic change has a real impact on the lives of Nova Scotians with disabilities.

Please see attached backgrounder below for more information.

CART captioning and ASL will be provided
