Year 1 of the Remedy in Disability Rights Coalition v Province of Nova Scotia
As Year 1 of the Remedy is very nearly complete. The DRC wants everyone to recall what exactly the Province has agreed to do by March 31st. If you click here, you’ll have the complete list of obligations which are supposed to have been completed. We have highlighted several – the Province’s progress on these outcomes should be evident in communities across the Province.
Of course, the next big step in accountability will be when the Province posts its first Annual Progress Report on how it has done to comply with the Order in Year 1. That’s due by May 31st and will be posted in the Nova Scotia Human Rights Commission’s web page dedicated to the Remedy.
